Galactic50: Day 45 Garden of the Gods1 min read time

Sunset among the Gods

After a long night at the dunes, we woke up early and headed out. Our next stop was a place I have been longing to see. Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs has been on my list ever since I moved to Colorado. Located in Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods is a magical place. Preserved by one of the first settlers of Colorado and later donated to the town by his children. Garden of the Gods is an earthly representation of Mount Olympus.

As we approached the park, a feeling of awe settles in. Numerous rock formations jet up towards the sky in remarkable fashion. Unlike anything I have ever seen before I couldn’t wait for sunset. With the clouds moving in I was hoping for some great color and I wasn’t let down.

We had a great evening photographing this beauty of a place. We had hoped to come back and photograph the night sky here, but the clouds claimed another night and we headed back to camp for some rest.

Thoughts from the road:

Colorado just gets more and more beautiful with every mile I explore.
