“You can be moved profoundly by other vistas, by other oceans, by soaring mountain ranges, but you can never be seduced. You can even forsake the lowcountry, renounce it for other climates, but you can never completely escape the sensuous, semitropical pull of Charleston and her marshes.”

Charleston, South Carolina is clearly my favorite place on Earth. Whenever given the opportunity, I will
choose Charleston. It is just a place that becomes a part of you the more time you are able to spend there.
Recently, Randy and I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in Charleston.
Since it was our anniversary week, we stayed at the Governor’s House Inn, where we stayed when we got married.
As we explored the city that I love so much, I worked to take images I don’t typically take when in Charleston. If it interested me, I took the picture.
There were many reflections that caught my eye during the weekend.
Our trips to Charleston don’t feel complete without enjoying a drive and visit to Botany Bay.
The last morning of our stay I was playing around with multiple exposure. I even made several images with the rising sun and setting moon in the same image since I could view both at the same time that morning. My favorite image created using in camera multiple exposure was the one of the pineapple fountain.
I am so thankful that I was able to spend a special weekend in Charleston, my favorite place, with Randy to celebrate our fifteen year anniversary.
