Creativity is Key Workshop2 min read time

What: Creativity is Key Workshop will be a one and a half day workshop to explore using originality to create compelling images. Instructors, Mary and Lorraine, will share ways to create captivating, artistic images using camera techniques and post processing. They will also share strategies for finding interesting subjects for unique photographs, as well as instruction on composition.

The workshop will combine classroom presentations and work in the field. Two separate locations have been secured for shooting. One location will enable participants to focus on photographing primarily nature. The second location will have a non-nature focus.

Prerequisites: Participants should have an understanding of how their camera works and how to determine a proper exposure using manual mode, aperture priority mode, or shutter priority mode. This will not be a workshop about how to use your camera technically, but rather how to use your camera to capture scenes and objects creatively.

8:00 a.m. – Noon

Where: Our home base for the workshop will be a classroom at Visual South located at 9280 Davidson Hwy. in Concord, NC. Both shooting locations will be within a 35-minute drive from our Visual South classroom location.

What is Included: Photo instruction in the classroom and in the field is included. Light snacks, coffee and bottled water will be provided.

What is not included: Transportation, meals during the workshop, and personal expenses are not included.

Registration: The registration fee is $199. So that we can give quality time to each participant, we will be limiting the group to 12 photographers. Participants will receive a schedule and list of items to bring to the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: There will be a $25 processing fee for cancellations made more than 30 days prior to the start of the workshop. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 30 days of the workshop unless we can find a replacement. No refunds will be given for cancellations or no-shows after the start of the workshop. A full refund will be given if the workshop is cancelled by the organizers of the workshop.
